We flew to Valencia and then hired a car and drove around
to Alicante, Algiers, Grenada, Seville, Cordoba, and Madrid
then back to Valencia. The weather wasn't that great so we
didn't go to any beaches in fact we had our jackets on and
were cold at times.
Grenada was really cool as it has a strong Muslim influence
still from when people from North Africa ruled southern Spain
and there is a massive castle there with the most amazing wall
patterns. Very cool to see something different from the usual
European look. WE saw all types of terrain too, even snow on
the road in some parts. Our Spanish got to the stage where
we could confidently order breakfasts and the bill and beer,
wine and water. We had a phrase book to help us with the rest.
I'll put my photos up on the Internet soon.
Spain was great but not hot. We had our jackets on nearly
every day. Definitely no swimming or shorts that's for sure.
We went to a new place nearly every day so got around to the
following places, Valencia, Alicante, Algiers, Grenada, Seville,
Cordoba and Madrid and back to Valencia for the final night.
My favourite places were Cordoba and Grenada.
