At Alicante it rained so wasn't that pleasant but looked a
bit like the waterfront of Auckland. I think it's more of a
summer city and lots of restaurants were closed. We visited
the fort that was on an impossibly high and pointy rock. We
took the lift up through the rock to get to the top. Mildly
scary. But great view from the top. Spanish aren't so worried
about people suing them I suppose as there were no railings
around the top parts and you could have easily fallen to your
splattery death.
