Bologna - Maranello - Milan

12 April 2004

Monday morning greeted us with rain again but we decided to go to Maranello anyway. This is the home of Ferrari, and it's Ferrari on speed for sure.

As we arrived there seemed to be many cars stopped on the road and we discovered that everyone had stopped to look at the testing track, even though there was no testing at the time.

Continuing on we found the Ferrari shop and had a look around. The museum was closed on Mondays so we missed that but got a fill of Ferrari anyway.

Then it was on to the boring motorway one last time to drive back to Milan for our evening flight. There were so many beginnings of new bridges along the road we guessed someone got a good deal on concrete. It would be interesting to go back in five years and see what they meant all the bridges to be for. We had one stop along the way at a pit stop type place, but unlike England everything didn't come with chips. We had pasta instead.

So that was the end of our trip we got back to the airport dropped our car off with no problems and flew home - and yes it was raining when we got back to London. Now I've got a few more Italy cities under my belt I can see what it's attraction is too so many people. Can't wait to go back to see Venice and Florence.
