Monument

February 22, 2000

311 stairs needed to be climbed to see the magnificent views from the top of the Monument. It was built by Wrenn between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London. It is 202 feet high, the exact distance between it and the bakers in Pudding Lane where the fire began. I even received a certificate to prove I made the climb.
